The device is indicated only for cranial surgery where reference to a rigid anatomical structure can be identified, does not require rigid fixation of the patient, and does not require fixation of a navigated instrument guide to the patient. The system is intended to be used in operating rooms and in less acute surgical settings such as interventional procedure suites. "Since its foundation, our goal at ZETA SURGICAL has been to increase access to precise and safe image guidance by building navigation and robotics that can be deployed at any point of care, whether that’s a traditional OR, an ambulatory surgery center, a mental health clinic, or an emergency room.
We believe this can be transformative for patients. It enables neurosurgical procedures like biopsies to move into ASCs, allows emergency patients to receive life-saving interventions in the ER and ICU, and makes novel treatments such as robotic TMS precise and scalable in mental health clinics.
